Our ethos centres on "Managing electricity more efficiently". Consequently, we offer a variety of electrical options which help our clients to eliminate energy wastage whilst assisting them in improving their carbon footprint. We can provide energy saving solutions which can both monitor and reduce the consumption of energy used. These include LED lighting solutions, Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starters and Power Factor Correction. We can also install Energy Meters which will enable the continued monitoring and evaluation of electrical usage and assist in helping our clients to manage their electricity consumption more efficiently.
Within our fully equipped workshop, we design and develop bespoke Control Panels to suit a range of different applications including Building Maintenance Systems, Power Factor Correction, Auto Changeover, Variable Speed Drives and Starter Panels.These Control Panels are constructed from premium quality steel with a baked on paint finish (different colour finishes available) and manufactured using high grade industrial control gear from established manufacturers within the Industry to ensure reliability and longevity. All our Control Panels are manufactured to meet the exact requirements of our clients.
3L Electrical Limited are NICEIC accredited and have the expertise to undertake routine/periodic fixed wire electrical testing and inspection to assess the risks and dangers that can cause workplace injuries. It is essential that all employers take responsibility for ensuring that their employees and visiting members of the public are safe and free from harm and this is in accordance with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 which came into force on the 1st April 1990.
3L Electrical pride themselves on providing a comprehensive service. This combines the professionalism of our on-site team who are all qualified to the latest edition of BS 7671 and our office administrators who generate a detailed report outlining and highlighting all compliant and non-compliant aspects of an electrical installation.

Why is Fixed Wire Electrical Testing and Inspection so important?
Fixed Wire Electrical Testing and Inspection guarantees that businesses adopt safe electrical working practices and are compliant with The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. It helps businesses to identify defective electrical components and undertake corrective remedial works which helps to assure workers and members of the public that they are safe and free from harm. Many deaths and injuries arise as a result of inadequately maintained electrical installations and electrical equipment. Poor, faulty and incompetently installed electrical installations and appliances can be the cause of fire and electric shocks.

A visual inspection which is necessary to look for:

Evidence of damage caused by dirt, loose parts or foreign bodies

Why is it so important to undertake regular servicing and maintenance?
Electrical equipment failures account for millions of pounds in damage and lost business every year. It is therefore imperative that active steps are taken to undertake routine preventive maintenance programs. The failure rate of electrical equipment is three times higher for components that are not part of a scheduled preventive maintenance program as compared with those that are. In addition, a planned Preventative Maintenance Program allows Maintenance Teams to schedule the system outage at a time of their choosing rather than having to correct major problems resulting from an untimely and unexpected failure.

3L Electrical Ltd was formed in 2006 with the intention of providing a dedicated and professional electrical engineering service. Quality is at the heart of what we do and as such we only purchase premium quality products that are reliable and robust. Our friendly, polite and efficient team of Field Service Engineers have a wealth of combined experience and always undertake works in a clean, efficient and courteous manner.
As a member of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting, all our engineers are qualified to the latest edition of BS7671 and have all undertaken Health and Safety training. We are proud of our team and are consequently committed to the development of each member of staff from our Apprentices through to our Project Managers. Through continual training such as First Aid, Asbestos Awareness, IPAF, PASMA to name but a few examples, you will always be assured that 3L Electrical conform to all current standards of good practice.
At the head of our team is our Managing Director, Michael Button. Michael has worked in this industry for over 30 years and has a wealth of both technical and practical electrical knowledge. He is always available to help resolve any technical issues that our clients may have and takes a hands-on approach to his business.
